Staff and Equipment

We cater for children aged 0–12yrs. Our members of staff are experienced and fully qualified childcare practitioners who have valid First Aid certificates and DBS (CRB) checks. We work within Ofsted guidelines and meet their recommended staff/child ratios.

You will be able to relax in the knowledge that your child is in safe hands and enjoying a fun but controlled environment. We will care for your children as and when required throughout the day and evening. After the day’s excitement has worn your little ones out, we will settle them down to sleep or to enjoy a DVD until the evening ends usually around midnight. Later times can be prearranged if desired.

You will need to provide us with a room or marquee in order to set up our crèche which is prearranged and visited to assess its suitability. We will then do the rest to create a fun child friendly environment where the children can play, have fun and interact with other children and staff.


We provide a range of age appropriate activities including:

  • A variety of board games for all ages
  • Puzzles
  • Books
  • Dressing up clothes
  • Baby activity toys
  • Playdough
  • Dolls and accesories
  • Aprons and creative art and craft activities
  • Cars and other small world play such as animals, dinosaurs, trains etc
  • Face painting
  • Games console and age appropriate games
  • Tv and films
  • Duplo/Megablox/Wooden bricks
  • Outdoor games such as Giant Dominos, jumping sacks, sports day games, hula hoops, balls and skipping ropes
  • Travel cots, soft mats and cushions
  • Highchairs
  • Equipment to make bottle feeds for babies

We can also make and supply Goodie Bags for the children to take home if required. There is an additional charge for this.

Wedding Crèche Benefits

The dilemma most couples face when planning their wedding is ‘Do we invite their children?’ At Little Pickles we feel that weddings are a happy family occasion and that means including children too. The excitement and energy that children bring to a family celebration contributes to fond memories that are made during your big day. However, expecting children to sit for long periods of time throughout the service, photographs, speeches etc, is often a challenging task for children and their anxious parents. We aim to support you on your special day to ensure children and parents have the best day possible, ensuring that it includes the perfect balance of ‘children’s fun time’ and ‘adults relaxation time’ at the ‘best times’.

 

 

Our mobile wedding crèche service is tailor made to the suit the needs of your wedding day. It will give everyone peace of mind so they can enjoy celebrating your special day and take away memories they can cherish for the right reasons. We will work with you to create a tailor made Wedding Crèche Plan to ensure all your needs and requirements are met on the day. Each plan is designed to cater for the needs of all children attending your wedding (aged 0-12yrs) making the day fun for all. The plan will include at least one site visit and completion of a health and safety risk assessment which will include fire and emergency procedures. Children will all have individual care plans which will give us details of any special requirements and comforters.

On the day, we will arrive early wearing company uniform and ID badges so that we look smart and are easily identifiable to you and your guests. The crèche will be set up prior to your arrival and we will be ready and waiting to greet you and all the little people and their families with a smile and lots of fun activities. We will also ensure we have allocated space for a quiet area, nappy changing area and be available to supervise and assist with meal times and accompanying children to the bathroom if needed.

Prices

No 2 weddings are the same and for this reason we do not offer ‘wedding packages’. Instead we listen to your needs and tailor a price package that is individual to you. The cost of the Crèche will depend on:

  • Number of children
  • Ages of children
  • Number of staff required to meet ratios
  • Number of hours the Crèche is required
  • Traveling time to the venue.

Payment Terms

To book your Crèche a £50 non-refundable booking fee is required. The balance is then paid 6 weeks before your wedding date.

All booking must be for a minimum of 2 hours with an additional 30 minutes either side for setting up and packing away equipment.
